- Methods and devices to display the anatomy and function of the body
- Basic algorithms of medical imaging (e.g. segmentation, filtering, and image reconstruction)
- Discussion of X-ray systems, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), optical coherence tomography (OCT), and ultrasound (US)
