New Paper: Quantification of the Tissue Sodium Concentration in the Human Calf at 7T With Reduced Acquisition Time: Influence of the Nominal Spatial Resolution

Congratulations to Jordan M. Höhn and his co-authors on their recently published article, “Quantification of the Tissue Sodium Concentration in the Human Calf at 7T With Reduced Acquisition Time: Influence of the Nominal Spatial Resolution”!

Their study demonstrates that low-resolution sodium MRI measurements of the calf muscles at 7 Tesla can be substantially accelerated by applying a dedicated partial volume effect correction. This reduced the acquisition time from 8:04 minutes to as little as 2:41 minutes, while maintaining accuracy and reproducibility comparable to those of conventional high-resolution measurements.
